Lifeguard Role for Camp Activities, St. John's

Take charge of safety at camp as a proactive Lifeguard. Foster a safe environment while instructing campers in swimming and boating activities, ensuring compliance with all guidelines.

In this critical role, you will maintain the safety and enjoyment of campers at the pool and lakefront areas. Reporting to the Child Care Director, your responsibilities will include structured swim sessions, compliance with health codes, and engaging with campers. Proficiency in performing rescues and offering guidance during activities will be key to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:• Supervise swimming at waterfront locations • Implement buddy system for camper safety • Teach swim techniques and boating safety • Conduct cleanliness checks and facility upkeep • Attend training and manage camper sign-out

Requirements:• Minimum 18 years old with requisite experience • Three years in a lifeguarding capacity required • Must hold current lifeguard and CPR certifications • Effective communication and people skills • Must remain alert and professional at all times
