Faculty Coordinator– Dental Assisting Program Keyin College is seeking a Faculty Coordinator for their Level II Dental Assisting Program to support a smooth delivery and continuous improvement.

The Role In this leadership role, you will provide academic oversight, support instructional staff, and ensure the program maintains high standards aligned with industry and regulatory expectations. You will work closely with faculty, students, and campus leadership to ensure a high-quality learning experience that prepares students for successful careers.
What You’ll Do: Program Oversight
Support the day-to-day operation of the Dental Assisting program to ensure smooth delivery.
Monitor program quality and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate curriculum reviews with faculty and industry advisors to ensure content reflects current dental assisting practices.
Support program accreditation activities and compliance with applicable professional standards.
Identify equipment, lab, and instructional resource needs to support hands-on training.
Faculty&Administrative Coordination
Provide leadership and support to instructors within the Dental Assisting program.
Assist with course scheduling, lab coordination, and program planning.
Facilitate regular faculty meetings and encourage collaboration among instructional staff.
Ensure faculty maintain accurate academic records, including attendance, grades, and course documentation.
Support program quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Student Support
Serve as a primary point of contact for student questions and concerns within the program.
Provide mentorship and academic guidance to support student success and progression.
Work closely with Student Services and Academic Advisors to support individual student needs.
Help ensure students are prepared for professional practice and workplace expectations.
Clinical&Industry Engagement
Develop and maintain relationships with dental clinics and industry partners.
Support the coordination of clinical or experiential learning opportunities for students.
Engage with industry professionals to ensure the program remains aligned with workforce needs.
Support opportunities for students to connect with industry through guest speakers or professional events.
Events&Program Engagement
Organize student engagement activities to support a positive program culture.
Coordinate industry-related events, such as guest lectures or professional development sessions.
What You Bring
Valid Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Board License
Minimum 5 years of combined education and/or professional experience in dental assisting or a related field
Strong knowledge of dental assisting practices, standards, and clinical procedures
Leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience is considered an asset
Strong organizational and communication skills
A collaborative, student-focused approach to education
Teaching or instructional experience is considered an asset
