Floor Cleaner (St. John's)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Floor Cleaner to join our team and maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic, welcoming setting for employees, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Duties - Perform routine cleaning of floors across various areas using appropriate cleaning equipment (Auto Scrubber, Buffers)and supplies - Maintain cleanliness of all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing as needed - Assist with deep cleaning tasks during scheduled maintenance or special events - Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored - Follow safety protocols to prevent slips, trips, and falls during cleaning activities - Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning to management - Adhere to company policies regarding sanitation standards and environmental safety Qualifications - Prior experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred - Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Physical ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods - Reliability and punctuality are essential qualities for success in this role - Stripping and Waxing This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe and clean environment while developing skills in facilities maintenance.
