If this sounds like your kind of company, then we want to hear from you.Job Description We are recruiting for Intermediate Naval Architect Technologist in Ottawa, ON and/or St. John's, NL.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop 3D product models for ship structures in ShipConstructor for both new construction and refit projectsInterpret technical, detail design and construction drawings related to ship structures designPrepare specifications, sketches, requirements, and technical drawingsReview production outputs to confirm accuracy of the 3D model and associated deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications and standardsSupport technical discussions for project reviewsAdditional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on qualifications of applicant.Qualifications:ExperienceBachelor's degree or associate degree; OR the equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work experience.Minimum 4 years of marine industry experience, with demonstrated expertise in structural modeling and draftingProficiency in ShipConstructor is requiredFamiliarity with Aveva E3D or PDMS is considered an assetExperience working within a shipyard is an asset.Skills/AbilitiesAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlines; flexible, resourceful, and efficientExcellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skillsMust be able to work within a team environment to support project completionThorough understanding of quality and continuous improvementDecision making skills and problem solving considered an assetEligibility for enrollment into Controlled Goods ProgramEligible Canadian Security Status (Secret or above)If you are interested in applying for this position do not hesitate to contact AMS Inc.
