Candidates must be comfortable working in construction, renovation, and property maintenance environments. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of insulation-related installation and removal tasks, including: - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine insulation requirements - Assess project needs and select the appropriate insulation materials and installation methods - Measure, cut, shape, and prepare insulation materials using hand tools and power tools - Install insulation using spraying, blowing, strapping, taping, fastening, pasting, and other approved application methods - Fit insulation around piping, ductwork, electrical systems, framing, joists, studs, and other obstructions - Install vapour barriers, fire-retardant materials, and moisture protection systems - Apply waterproofing compounds or protective coatings where required - Estimate material quantities, labour requirements, and project costs - Use digital measurement tools, estimating software, or construction software as needed - Safely remove and dispose of old or damaged insulation materials in accordance with workplace safety regulations - Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and building code compliance - Coordinate with renovation, maintenance, and construction teams on project execution - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times Qualifications & Skills Preferred candidates should have: - Strong knowledge of insulation systems, vapour barriers, and building envelope practices - Experience with residential and light commercial insulation installation - Ability to read technical drawings and project specifications - Familiarity with construction safety procedures and PPE requirements - Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills - Valid driver’s licence preferred - Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments - Experience with spray foam insulation is considered a robust asset Employee BenefitsFinancial Benefits - Performance bonus opportunities - Gasoline allowance - Mileage reimbursement Additional Benefits - Paid employer-sponsored training and professional development - Paid personal or volunteer days - Team-building events and company activities - Employer-provided transportation to job sites (when applicable) About AMBZ Property Service Inc.
