Bartender/Server (St. John's)

Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team in a vibrant Bar & restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and customer service, creating memorable experiences for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, providing excellent hospitality, and ensuring a clean and organized bar area. Duties - Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. - Maintain knowledge of drink menus, specials, and promotions to offer recommendations to patrons. - Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. - Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations while preparing drinks and serving food items. - Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and maintain the bar’s financial integrity. - Clean and organize the bar area, including washing glassware, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste properly. - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable. - Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and techniques to enhance bartending skills. Skills - Previous experience in bartending or the food industry is preferred but not required. - Solid knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. - Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail in processing transactions. - Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and ability to engage with diverse clientele. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members. - A passion for hospitality and creating enjoyable experiences for customers.
