Bartender, Little Catalina

Overview We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team for a busy summer! As a Bartender, you will be responsible for making beverages, creating a welcoming atmosphere, handling money, operating VLT (slot) machines, opening and closing an establishment, and cleaning etc.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.

Prepare simple food orders. We only use air fryers to cook (wings, fries, apps)

Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about the menu.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing orders and payments.

Utilize the Open and Closing Lists provided to ensure nothing is missed during shift

Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally.

Handle money and cash floats

Requirements

Experience in bartending or a similar role within the food industry is preferred (will train if none)

knowledge of hospitality principles, food safety standards, and drink recipes (will train)

Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment (only face- paced during events!)

Proficient in using POS systems for sales entries (will train)

Great customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.

Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.

Ability to handle food safely and maintain hygiene standards in the bar area.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

*Hours of operation are noon to usually midnight, except for dances then we are usually open until about 3:30am)

*Shifts are usually 6 hours long

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.35 per hour
