Position: Administrative Assistant 1 (RECEPTION)– Full time (8:30‑4:30 Mon‑Fri) Duration: 15‑month Term Accountability: Executive Coordinator QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of three (3) years experience working in an office setting performing administrative support, data entry and clerical functions. Knowledge or experience providing support in labour relations will be considered an asset. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing multiple priorities, tight timelines and potentially high‑stress situations.Ability to be tactful and professional, while responding to member inquiries. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Familiarity with other systems such as Unionware, considered an asset. Must be able to work in a team, understand and respect confidentiality and meet deadlines.A positive attitude, receptiveness to direction and feedback, respectful approach towards members and co‑workers, professionalism and a high level of self‑motivation are essential. Attention to detail, organization and the ability to keep meticulous records is imperative. DUTIES
Perform telephone/receptionist and other general office duties. Type and/or format documents. Prepare and/or handle incoming and/or outgoing correspondence (written&verbal). Assist with the administrative planning and execution of events, meetings and/or projects. Update and maintain various databases. Maintain files, both paper and electronic. Data entry for workload staffing reports, abuse reports and other member data reporting. Order and maintain office supplies and materials.Correspond with vendors and service providers. Maintain various calendars of events, room bookings and other important organizational dates. Provide administrative support to grievance/arbitration processes, WCB and LEAP. Process all incoming and outgoing mail (letters and general inquiry inbox).Provide relief or backup support to other administrative staff, as required. Assist with all other general office duties or duties related to this classification. Pay: $28.04 per hour BENEFITS
