RBC PH&N; Investment Counsel is a leading boutique investment counselling firm. What is the opportunity?
As the Portfolio Management Assistant, you will assist Investment Counsellors/Portfolio Managers in tracking and writing new and updated Investment Policy Statements, and coordinate client wealth‑planning meetings. The role involves preparing client meetings, responding to general enquiries, and creating presentations and marketing material for clients and prospects.This is an 18‑month maternity leave coverage with the likelihood of becoming permanent. What will you do?
Provide proactive and timely customer service, responding to client inquiries and updating systems as needed. Prepare client meeting material in advance and attend client meetings as required. Track anniversary dates and draft new or updated Investment Policy Statements and policy letters for clients.Arrange and prepare for client wealth‑planning meetings (financial planning, insurance, estate planning). Support business‑development activities by utilizing marketing material, and assist with prospect presentations and documentation. Assist Investment Counsellors/Portfolio Managers with ad‑hoc administrative duties.What do you need to succeed?
Must‑have University degree. Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or equivalent. Minimum of two years’ experience in a support role within the financial services industry. Financial planning experience is preferred. Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Exceptional business writing and communication skills. Nice‑to‑have CIM designation or equivalent.
