Element by Westin Calgary Downtown is an all-suite hotel located in Calgary’s west-end, focused on wellness, with an extensive fitness center, healthy breakfast options, bike program, pet-friendly suites, a local cafe, and a signature rooftop lounge. Key Accountabilities

Always provide the highest quality of service, leading by example. Train, maintain and enforce all service standards. Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment and report unsafe conditions to the manager. Ensure the department is fully staffed and capable of handling business volume. Explain empowerment principles to ensure guest satisfaction.Support team members to ensure associate satisfaction and retention. Greet guests, delivering exceptional service. Provide fast, friendly, qualified, and responsive service to restaurant guests, staff, and culinary production team. Know breakfast food and beverage items. Check with guests to confirm enjoyment and correct any problems.Perform opening and closing procedures (setup and breakdown of stations, clearing and resetting tables). Maintain overall cleanliness of the breakfast area. Work in a unified, collaborative way that fosters teamwork. Follow all safety and security policies, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.Know emergency procedures and practice safety standards. Qualifications

Previous experience in a Lead or Supervisory role in a coffee shop or hotel restaurant environment. Graduated from a Hospitality or Tourism program or hold a related degree. Outstanding work ethic, reliability, punctuality, approachable demeanor, strong commitment to safety. Priority on providing guests with excellent experiences and ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and teamwork orientation. Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and basic math skills. Valid ProServe certification. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Benefits
