Business Development Manager– Commercial Insurance
Positions available in St. John’s, Newfoundland&Labrador and Nova Scotia. The Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Sales Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving new business growth, nurturing client relationships, and delivering strategic insurance solutions that protect and empower our commercial clients. This is a key role for someone who thrives on building meaningful partnerships and wants to help shape the future of a rapidly expanding organization.What You’ll Do
Sales Strategy&Execution
Establish sales targets, manage opportunities, and track progress using CRM tools and metrics. Build and manage a high-quality prospect pipeline through referrals, networking, and community involvement. Deliver consultative sales presentations and proposals that clearly articulate client value. Client Growth&Relationship Management
Lead retention and expansion of a designated commercial client portfolio through proactive relationship building. Identify opportunities to cross‑sell and up‑sell coverage that adds value for clients. Maintain regular contact with clients to ensure satisfaction and long‑term partnership. Market&Product Expertise
Stay informed on market conditions and industry best practices. Participate in networking events and industry associations to strengthen Munn’s presence and brand. Collaborate closely with Account Managers and internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences. Culture&Collaboration
Act as a brand ambassador for Munn Insurance, embodying our values of integrity, innovation, and community. 3–7 years of experience in commercial insurance sales, account management, or a related B2B business development role. Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to build long‑term relationships with clients and partners.Familiarity with insurance products or a willingness to learn quickly.
