Assistant Controller in Finance Department, St. John's

Quorum is seeking an Assistant Controller to elevate our Finance department. You'll oversee core accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls within a full-time role.

In this pivotal role, the Assistant Controller will bring strong technical expertise in accounting and finance, supporting the Senior Director of Finance. Your experience will guide you in managing accounting entries, financial reporting packs, and compliance with tax regulations. You will also develop junior team members and foster relationships across departments.

Key Responsibilities:• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures • Develop continuity schedules and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts • Lead budget-to-actual reports with variance analysis commentary • Prepare financial reporting packs for internal and external stakeholders• Manage compliance for Sales and Corporate Taxes, liaising with advisors

Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation required • 4-6 years accounting experience with 2 years in a supervisory role • IFRS experience required; SaaS industry experience is advantageous • Advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system skills • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
