The extensiveness of Liebherr's construction machines product line is like no other. In this role, you will support our rapid‑growing Earth Moving division in St. John’s working on loaders, dozers and material handling equipment in the field and at customer sites. As a Resident Field Technician, you will be equipped with the tools, parts and equipment to safely and effectively repair and maintain machinery and components on heavy equipment to high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot Liebherr machinery and components including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, gearbox/drive train to resolve moderate to complex problems. Prepare new and used machinery, perform scheduled maintenance, repair or overhaul requiring component replacement, commissioning and adjustment of mechanical/hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic equipment, including warranty upgrades.Recondition and repair equipment components and systems. Perform servicing on Liebherr machinery, including fluid checks, sample pulling, oil and filter checks, changing lubricants, replacing filters and greasing machine lube points. Ensure components, material and/or equipment is inspected, corrected to specifications and delivery programs are achieved.Complete all final verifications specified in work instructions, scope of work, verbal communication and specifications. Accurate and timely submission of reports and technical documents including service reports. Operate and maintain tools, equipment and work areas in accordance with company policy.Support shop repairs and work as requested. Other duties as assigned. Competencies
4+ years experience servicing heavy equipment. Red Seal/Journeyman license or provincial equivalent required. Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components. Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities.Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings. Effective communication of detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner. Self‑motivated ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time. Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite.Our Offer
