Overview We are on the lookout for a passionate and talented head chef to join our team! We are looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for authentic Latin flavors and innovative culinary techniques, ready to lead our kitchen and create unforgettable dining experiences. Duties - Work closely with owners and management team to ensure a smooth service and guest satisfaction. - Ensure work stations are stocked and ready for service. - Ensure food safety protocols and procedures are followed and in place. - Provide staff with ongoing coaching and feedback for continuous staff improvement and engagement. - Create innovative menus and dishes with the corresponding recipes and preparation techniques to ensure consistency and accuracy. - Create features and ensure features are available each serviced and accurately communicated to the service team to be offered to guests. - Maintain a productive work environment and uphold our standards of excellence, taking disciplinary action, including write-ups, for staff when necessary. - Manage inventory levels, place supplier orders, and maintain positive relationships with vendors. - Scheduling for back of house staff on a weekly basis. - Ensure optimal productivity and business needs, monitor staffing levels and staff requirements daily, making informed decisions to adjust staff as necessary while maintaining accurate labor projections and guest satisfaction. - Maintain a positive work environment. - Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the restaurant. - Follow and uphold all company policies. Experience - Proven experience in high-volume kitchen environments. - Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. - Experience in creating and designing innovative menus. - Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and best practices, including proper sanitation and hygiene procedures. - Proven track record in managing kitchen budgets, including food costs, labor, and inventory control, to maximize profitability. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing effective interaction with kitchen staff, front-of-house team, and management. - Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure during high-stress situations.
