Overview of the Role Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Maintenance Millwright. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Millwright is responsible for routine/preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

Status Permanent, Full‑Time

Schedule

Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Monday to Friday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Sunday to Thursday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm

Wage Starting at $35.75 per hour. There are two salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $44.70 per hour. Wage offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.

Responsibilities

Carries out preventative maintenance on assigned equipment

Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations

Carries out equipment installations and modifications as required

Repaints parts in shop

Works effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety

Follows company policies and safety standards

Works with other trades groups to complete project assignments

Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager

Qualifications

Millwright license

Proven experience with process equipment in a manufacturing setting

Food industry or high‑speed packaging experience

Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Welding experience is an asset

Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills

Boiler, refrigeration, and air handling systems experience is an asset

Electrical experience is an asset

PLC training and experience is an asset

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

High level of self‑motivation and initiative

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Dependable with a good attendance and safety record in current position

Available to work afternoon and night shifts, weekends, and overtime as required

Available to switch shifts at short notice to replace absent workers
