Plastic Washing Line Operator (PLC System) (Strathroy)

Plastic Washing Line Operator Job Summary Eligant Group Inc. is seeking a technically inclined Washing Line Operator to oversee our automated plastic washing, separation, and drying systems in Strathroy, Ontario. This position manages the automated processing of materials to ensure high chemical cleanliness and purity standards. Schedule & Hours - Hours: 44 hours per week (Straight shifts, stable scheduling). - Operation: 2 shifts daily (Morning, and Night), operating 4 days per week. - Flexibility: Please specify your shift preference (Days or Nights) in your application. Key Responsibilities - System Oversight: Control and monitor the integrated plastic washing line, including friction washers, separation tanks, and drying units. - PLC Automation: Actively manage operations via PLC control screens, adjusting water flow, feed speeds, and processing metrics. - Conveyor Systems: Keep conveyor belts synchronized to ensure a smooth transition from washing to clean storage bins. - Quality Assurance: Monitor water quality, filtration systems, and visually inspect finished flakes for contamination. - Housekeeping: Perform filter changes, clean tanks during changeovers, and ensure smooth line mechanics. Required Experience & Skills - Experience: 4+ years in manufacturing or processing environments involving fluids, filtration, or automated wash lines (Plastic recycling preferred). - Technical Skill: Confident navigating and troubleshooting automated PLC panels. - Reliability: Punctual and able to manage an independent section of a continuous 24-hour line. - Logistics: Must have reliable transportation to Strathroy, ON.
