Payroll Specialist (Strathroy)

Our client, a stable and well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for processing non-union payroll and providing light HR support in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess full-cycle bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly non-union employeesEnsure accurate calculation of regular hours, overtime, vacation pay, statutory holiday pay, and payroll deductionsAdminister payroll changes including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefit deductionsMaintain accurate payroll records in accordance with Ontario employment standards and applicable legislationRespond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management in a qualified and timely mannerSupport month-end and year-end payroll activities including reconciliations, records of employment, T4s, and auditsAssist with light HR administrative duties such as onboarding documentation, maintaining employee files, and benefits enrollmentProvide general administrative support to the HR team, including basic reporting and compliance trackingQualifications and ExperienceMinimum 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environmentProven experience processing non-union payrollWorking knowledge of Ontario employment and payroll legislationPCP designation or active enrollment with the National Payroll Institute is considered an assetExperience with payroll systems and time and attendance softwareStrong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesEffective communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset Compensation and BenefitsBase salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 annuallyComprehensive perks package including health, dental, and vision coveragePaid vacation and statutory holidaysRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
