Any separation benefits for union hourly employees, if applicable, would be provided in accordance with a negotiated agreement between the company and the union. **Location:** Strathroy, ON **Job Type:** Full Time **Shift available:** Rotating Shift **Compensation:** $20.00/hr, after probation time will increase up to $27.70/hr **Current, easy-to-apply options are available for this role: chat with our recruiting assistant Ana at careers.cargill.com or text Cargill Jobs to 60196.** **This job posting is for an existing vacancy.** **Principal Accountabilities:** u2022 Packaging Operation and Risk management u2022 Operate multi-function machinery and process control equipment through control panels, computer terminals and other miscellaneous control systems to receive, transfer, grind, batch/blend, pellet/extrude, bag and ship animal feed/petfood safely and efficiently u2022 Maintain shift- & process logs as well as several other lean management related documents u2022 Observe gauges, monitors etc. to ensure compliance with critical to quality specifications u2022 Set up and adjust processing and packaging equipment to efficiently and safely manufacture animal feed/petfood u2022 Perform miscellaneous operator care related maintenance duties as well as aid troubleshooting processes guided by maintenance technicians u2022 Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations u2022 Maintaining a safe and clean work environment u2022 Other duties as assigned **Required Qualifications:** u2022 Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada u2022 Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old u2022 Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting 50 lbs kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation u2022 Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment u2022 Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) u2022 Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) u2022 Basic use of a computer u2022 Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice **Preferred Qualifications:** u2022 Prior experience in production related work u2022 Previous forklift experience u2022 Proven ability to manage compliance with Environment, Health & Safety and Operations standards and regulations u2022 Knowledge of inventory control, quality management, operating efficiency, agricultural experience or specialized knowledge of grain handling and crop input products u2022 Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate, service, and troubleshoot machinery u2022 Previous expereince on animal feed/pet food manufacturing process and process control system u2022 High School diploma or Equivalent **Considered candidates will receive a phone call from a (204) area code.
