ConPro Contracting LTD is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Project Manager / Estimator to oversee project execution from initial client contact through to final completion. This role is responsible for estimating, scheduling, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to ConPro’s quality standards.
Key Responsibilities 1. Project Management
Schedule and coordinate all phases of construction projects
Manage in-house crews and subcontractors to ensure efficiency and quality
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety
Resolve site issues proactively to avoid delays or cost overruns
Ensure all work complies with Ontario Building Code and project specifications
2. Estimating&Pre-Construction
Meet with clients to review project scope, timelines, and expectations
Interpret architectural drawings, structural details, and specifications
Prepare accurate cost estimates using Buildertrend and internal systems
Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
Prepare and issue tender packages to subcontractors and vendors
Review and level bids to ensure completeness and competitiveness
Identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining quality standards
3. Procurement&Scheduling
Order materials and coordinate deliveries to align with project schedules
Maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
Adjust schedules as required to mitigate delays
4. Financial Oversight
Ensure projects meet or exceed target profit margins
Track project costs, labour, and material budgets
Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation and billing
Work with ownership to review job costing and financial performance
5. Client&Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
Maintain clear, professional communication with clients, consultants, and trades
Provide updates on timelines, budgets, and project progress
Manage client expectations and resolve concerns efficiently
6. Team&Office Coordination
Oversee and support office staff related to project coordination and administration
Work closely with accounting on invoicing, draws, and job costing
Assist in developing internal systems, processes, and efficiencies
Support hiring, training, and development of field and office personnel
7. Quality Control&Closeout
Ensure all work meets ConPro’s quality standards and client expectations
Conduct final walkthroughs and deficiency reviews
Coordinate project closeout, including warranties and documentation
Ensure sites are clean, safe, and professionally presented upon completion
Qualifications
3–7+ years experience in construction project management and/or estimating
Strong understanding of residential and light commercial construction
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
Experience with Buildertrend or similar project management software
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and local construction practices
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in design‑build environments
Established relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers
Background in estimating, tendering, and cost control
Familiarity with scheduling software and project tracking tools
