Job Description As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute your technical leadership to impactful, multidisciplinary projects that support safer, more efficient, and more sustainable mining, metals and industrial infrastructure systems. You’ll design and collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that help communities and industries thrive.
This position will be located in our Sudbury, Ontario office.
Responsibilities
Design mechanical and piping systems, process and mechanical equipment including design and selection of static and rotating equipment.
Input to general arrangement drawings and layout (2D&3D) development.
Knowledge of pipe stress analysis will be considered an asset.
Perform engineering calculations, review and sealing of documents.
Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, requisitions and perform technical bid evaluations of process and mechanical equipment.
Build and maintain client relationships and respond to client requests, travel to various client sites, attend project meetings and conduct field reviews as required.
Always ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites.
The Skills That Set You Apart
At least 5+ years of deep expertise in mechanical engineering through hands‑on project work across industrial, energy, mining, or infrastructure environments, ideally with clients within the Sudbury area.
Proven experience solving real‑world engineering challenges, from equipment specification to system design and integration.
Comfortable working in the field or onsite as needed and adheres to all safety requirements.
Working proficiency with mechanical design and modeling tools and a continuous drive to grow your technical toolkit.
Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario.

Compensation BC, AB, SK, NWT&NU: $77,400– $102,500
MB&ON: $70,600– $97,200
Atlantic Provinces&QC: $69,900– $92,900
