Summary Patrick Sprack Limited (PSL) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with deep mine ventilation expertise to join our leadership team as an Operations Manager. This role is ideal for a results‑driven professional with a strong background in mine ventilation systems, project management, and technical sales, who can lead operational delivery while supporting business growth. With over 10 years of experience in mine ventilation projects, the successful candidate will oversee operations from design through execution, manage client relationships, and contribute strategically to sales and business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Operations & Project Management - Lead and oversee mine ventilation projects from proposal through execution and close‑out - Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and risk for multiple concurrent projects - Ensure compliance with mining regulations, safety standards, and engineering best practices - Coordinate with field teams, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure high‑quality delivery - Monitor project performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives Technical Leadership – Mine Ventilation - Provide subject‑matter expertise in mine ventilation systems, fan installations, airflow design, and optimization - Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and technical deliverables - Support troubleshooting and problem‑solving on active mining sites - Ensure operational solutions meet client requirements and regulatory expectations Sales & Client Relationship Management - Support technical sales efforts by contributing to proposals, estimates, and client presentations - Serve as a trusted technical and operational contact for key mining clients - Identify opportunities for repeat business, system upgrades, and new projects - Collaborate with leadership to support business development strategies Leadership & Strategy - Lead and mentor project managers, engineers, and operational staff - Support workforce planning and resource allocation - Contribute to short‑ and long‑term operational strategy for mine ventilation services - Promote a strong safety culture across all projects and operations Qualifications & ExperienceRequired - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (P.Eng. an asset) - 10+ years of experience in mine ventilation, mining projects, or related mechanical systems - Proven experience in project management within mining or heavy industrial environments - Solid understanding of mine ventilation design, installation, and operations - Experience supporting technical sales or proposal development - Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Ability to travel to mine sites as required Preferred / Assets - Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation - Experience working with mining operations - Previous operational or managerial leadership role - Solid commercial and financial acumen Why Join Patrick Sprack Limited? - Chance to lead and shape mine ventilation operations within a growing organization - Competitive compensation - Exposure to complex, high‑impact mining projects - Leadership role with influence across operations, engineering, and sales - Collaborative, safety‑focused work environment Pay: $47.50-$52.88 per hour Perks: - Dental care - Employee assistance program - Life insurance - RRSP match - Vision care Experience: - Mine ventilation: 10 years (required) - Projects: 10 years (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ol5ph
