Job Summary SyBridge Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineering Lead to oversee and guide the design engineering team in developing innovative and high‑quality products, tooling, and components. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with leadership experience and a passion for driving design excellence in a manufacturing or industrial environment. The Design Engineering Lead is responsible for managing design projects, mentoring engineers, and ensuring that all design work meets quality, accuracy, and customer requirements. This position collaborates closely with Manufacturing, Product Development, and Operations teams to align design solutions with production capabilities and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical support.
Oversee the development of product, tooling, and fixture designs using CAD and other design software.
Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost‑effective, and meet customer requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design engineering team to enhance efficiency, quality, and innovation.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
Facilitate design reviews, cross‑functional meetings, and technical problem‑solving sessions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.
Maintain design standards, documentation, and best practices across the team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of design engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA or NX).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and design‑for‑manufacturing principles.
Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers effectively.
Strong project management, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams in manufacturing or product development.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
