Project Coordinator - Security Solutions (Tecumseh)

Project Coordinator – Security Solutions Convergint is recruiting a Project Coordinator in the Security Solutions team in Brantford or Windsor, ON. The role leads project planning, scheduling, supervision of installation crews, and ensures on‑site execution within budget and schedule. Responsibilities Coordinate and supervise projects from award through completion, ensuring timely and budget‑constrained delivery. Plan site supervision, install/assemble system components, and monitor crew productivity. Translate customer requirements, review cost estimates, and provide input before bidding. Communicate project schedules, change proposals, and risks to staff and clients. Coordinate procurement of installation materials, supplies, and services. Provide on‑site assistance for commercial/industrial installation, start‑up, and turnover. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and installation issues for clients and sales teams. Manage receiving and dispatch of goods, authenticate shipments, and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accurate inventory records, facilitate quarterly counts, and ensure proper storage. Follow all health and safety policies and legal documentation procedures. Support administrative tasks such as fleet, vacation schedule, uniform inventory, and purchasing documentation. Serve as the primary customer contact, promoting Convergint services and ensuring satisfaction. Supervise subcontractors, provide coaching and performance management to direct reports. Perform other duties as requested or required. Qualifications Strong installation experience in building automation, fire alarm, or security systems. Coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills. Team leadership, facilitation, and consensus‑building abilities. Strong analytical and financial cost‑control skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word proficiency. Basic understanding of IT networking principles. Required Experience & Education Technical school diploma or related field experience. Minimum of five years in construction‑based field service/installation or project coordination. Minimum of three years of project supervisory experience. Preferred experience: security, fire alarm & life safety, or building automation.
