This is a heavy labour position in a manufacturing environment and requires consistent lifting, bending, standing, twisting, and repetitive movement throughout the entire shift. This position involves working with metal stamping press equipment and performing physically demanding production tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be comfortable performing repetitive heavy lifting throughout the shift and working in a hot, loud, industrial environment. Key Responsibilities - Operate and assist with metal stamping press machines - Load and unload materials and finished products - Perform repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift - Lift, stack, sort, and move metal parts and materials - Bend, twist, crouch, and reach repeatedly during production tasks - Stand and walk for the full 12-hour shift - Inspect parts for quality and production defects - Maintain accurate production records - Follow all workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements - Keep workstations clean and organized - Read and follow work instructions and measurements - Report machine issues, defects, or safety concerns immediately - Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets Qualifications & Requirements - Minimum 1 year manufacturing or machine operating experience required - Must be physically capable of repetitive heavy lifting up to 50 lbs - Ability to work long 12-hour continental shifts - Comfortable performing repetitive movements throughout the shift - Strong attendance and reliability are required - Ability to work in a quick-paced industrial environment - Must have reliable transportation (location is not transit accessible) - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset - Experience using measuring tools and reading blueprints is an asset - Forklift certification is an asset, but not required Important Physical Requirements This role requires: - Continuous standing and walking - Frequent bending and twisting - Repetitive lifting throughout the shift - Working with heavy materials - Working overtime as required - Ability to work in a warm manufacturing environment This is a physically demanding role and is best suited for candidates comfortable with heavy general labour work.
