Automotive Fixture Designer (Oldcastle)

About the Role: Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll bring your experience in fixture, tooling, and gauge design to a dynamic, collaborative environment. You’ll be responsible for developing new designs and modifying existing products to meet client specifications, all while maintaining Gauge-Rite’s commitment to quality and innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Design complete fixtures from concept to finished product with minimal supervision - Create full 3D surfacing and detailed designs for checking fixtures - Produce precise and comprehensive 3D models and technical drawings - Apply a strong understanding of GD&T; principles - Ensure all designs comply with customer requirements and GRI standards - Meet project deadlines and deliverables within scope and budget - Collaborate with a team of designers and engineers - Participate in team meetings and design reviews - Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients What You Bring: - Proven experience in fixture/tooling/gauge design - Proficiency in 3D design software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, or equivalent) - Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines - A team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills Perks & Benefits: - Competitive hourly wage: $24-$32/hour, based on experience - Overtime pay after 40 hours/week - Comprehensive Health, Dental & Vision coverage - Extended healthcare benefits - Company-matched RRSP contributions - On-site parking - Gym membership - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - Company events and team-building activities Ready to Build What’s Next?
