Description
Role We are seeking a motivated and talented
DevOps Engineering Student
in our Digital Engineering department at our Montreal office. This is a 4‑month internship starting in September 2026. The successful candidate will support scrum‑teams for the automation of development of embedded systems such as satellite payloads and other spacecraft.
Responsibilities
Support continuous improvement of our delivery pipelines (CI/CD)
Design, document, and build systems to automate development activities
Troubleshoot infrastructure‑related issues
Perform system administration tasks, including configuration management, creating and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates, and supporting tools
Manage engineering tools and third‑party IP (procurement, licensing, installation, upgrade, maintenance renewal, computing capacity planning, etc.) for PCB design, FPGA, software, RF and systems
Experience and Skills Required Interested candidates should be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or computer science engineering with three (3) years completed.
Experience with version control software (GIT, SVN, etc.)
Some knowledge of automation software like Jenkins
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and Bash
Some programming experience
Experience installing and configuring new software on Windows and Linux
System administration skills
Bi‑lingual in French and English (contact with customers outside Québec)
Desirable Skills
Experience with SQL databases
Some experience in web development to provide development teams with GUI tools
Knowledge of building and deploying virtual machines (VMware, VSphere, VirtualBox)
Comments / Special Considerations Successful candidates must obtain and pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
