Your role is vital in ensuring the nutritional needs of residents are met in a safe and hygienic workplace. Key Responsibilities Assist with food preparation for residents. Clean and disinfect areas, tools, and equipment. Ensure proper storage of food items. Follow infection prevention & control standards, posted signs and food safety regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 16 years of age. Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin are required. Successful completion of the Tuberculosis (TB) screening and Vulnerable Sector Screening. Genuine interest in helping residents with compassion, understanding, and patience. Demonstrated dependability, initiative, flexibility, and reliability. Willingness to attend additional training as needed. Commitment & Locations Available Monday to Sunday for 3‑4 hour shifts or as assigned. Minimum commitment of 6 months is required. The position will be at the Mon Sheong Stouffville Long‑Term Care Centre (162 Sandiford Dr, Whitchurch‑Stouffville, ON). Volunteer Requirements Willing to undergo a background or police records check. Minimum 16 years old. Willing to complete medical forms. Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin.
