Shredder Cleaner (Ontario)

Job Title Shredder Cleaner – Afternoon shift, Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-11:00pm. Responsibilities Clean and maintain shredding equipment, including conveyor systems, screens, magnets, and other components, to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination. Remove unwanted materials such as non-metallic objects, dirt, and other contaminants from the shredder and its surrounding areas to prevent damage and maintain efficiency. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment. Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and other safety practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shredder area, ensuring the removal of debris, proper waste disposal, and general housekeeping tasks. Qualifications Previous experience in an industrial cleaning or maintenance role is preferred. Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, and manual dexterity. Attention to detail and the ability to spot and remove contaminants from the shredder equipment effectively. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
