Security Guard (Full Time) (Timmins)

Step into Security - Make an Impact We are seeking a compassionate, alert, and dependable Patient Watch Security Guard to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will provide continuous observation of assigned patients, help prevent safety risks, support hospital security protocols, and respond promptly to emergencies or incidents. This role requires robust communication skills, professionalism, patience, and the ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations while maintaining a secure and respectful environment for all individuals. Duties: - Maintain a professional and visible security presence to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors. - Monitor patients under observation and perform Patient Watch / Rapid Response Security duties as required. - De-escalate conflicts and respond calmly to security incidents and emergency situations. - Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access points while controlling unauthorized access and removal of assets. - Complete incident reports, shift documentation, and report safety hazards or suspicious activity. - Enforce hospital policies and procedures, including smoking/vaping regulations and access control. - Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Valid Security guard licence - Previous experience in security, healthcare security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred. - Strong observation, communication, and conflict de-escalation skills. - Ability to remain calm, professional, and responsive in high-pressure situations. - Familiarity with security procedures, incident reporting, and surveillance systems is an asset. - Ability to pass background checks and complete required training or certifications.
