Cleaner (Timmins)

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across hotel and take care of the garbage area and garbage disposal. This role is essential in ensuring a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for clients, staff, and visitors. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Duties - Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas - Clean restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to ensure they meet health and safety standards - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners regularly - Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishing - Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively - Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination - Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties to the supervisor Requirements - Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is highly desirable - Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and reaching overhead - Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to scheduled routines - Good communication skills and a professional attitude - Reliable transportation may be required depending on the work location This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a clean and protected environment while developing valuable skills in the custodial field.
