Insurance Account Manager, Small Market Commercial – Timmins, ON, CA Business Line: Small-Market Commercial Lines Hours Per Week: 35 (Full-Time) Location: Ontario – Hybrid workplace (any location) About the Role As part of NFP’s Small‑Market Commercial Lines division, you will service new business requests, maintain relationships with clients and carrier representatives, and collaborate with backend service teams to oversee the renewal process for existing business. Responsibilities - Work closely with clients to deliver extraordinary value by identifying exposures, determining appropriate solutions, and advising the client on best fit solutions. - Develop marketing specifications and remarketing strategies for renewals of an assigned book of business. - Network within the local community by attending industry events, training, and other professional development opportunities. - Provide professional and prompt customer service via phone and email on new and existing client accounts, addressing topics such as coverage, billing, claim reporting, audits, endorsements, and cancellations. - Maintain positive, long‑term relationships with clients, insurance carrier representatives, and NFP staff. Qualifications - RIBO is required; out‑of‑province licenses are an asset. - Fluency in French is preferred. - Typically, more than 2 years of commercial insurance and product line experience in servicing, broking, or underwriting. - Experience placing a variety of coverage lines on SME to Mid‑Market accounts. - Confident, poised, and interactive communications skills with strong emotional intelligence and adaptability. - Proven technical competency and creativity in delivering innovative property and casualty solutions. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and decision‑making. - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adjust to changing workload and priorities. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EPIC fluency is an asset.
