IAMGOLD Mining Electrician Role, Algoma, Sudbury District and Greater Sudbury (Chelmsford)

As part of IAMGOLD's team at the Côté Gold Mine, the Electrician plays a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems. This position focuses on preventive maintenance and the repair of motors, VFDs, and electrical components. Ideal candidates will have substantial hands-on experience and a proactive approach to problem-solving in high-pressure scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:• Maintain and install electrical power systems safely • Repair and test motors and control systems • Become familiar with electrical codes and blueprints • Test and troubleshoot electrical components • Accurately document maintenance activities

Requirements:• Minimum high school education needed • Electrical License in Ontario preferred • At least 4 years of experience in electrical work • Experience in mining or mineral processing is an asset • Strong communication and teamwork skills required
