Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Position function: Reporting to the Production Manager, the individual will be responsible to supervise one of the Production areas of Caldic’s Mississauga facility. Scope: The Production Supervisor will be accountable for the day-to-day operations of their designated production area. They will collaborate with the P&C;, HSE, and Quality teams to ensure the production area is meeting the expectations of our customers and all internal stakeholders in safe and high quality manner. Major tasks and duties: - Work with P&C; to maintain adequate staffing levels in support of the business and budget. - Reconcile Time & Attendance for the production team (and temporary employees). Manage vacation requests. - Ensure compliance with all Quality and Safety programs. Communicate feedback from the production teams. - Work with the Maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or breakdowns. - Conduct a Daily Management Meeting to keep teams aligned and engaged with our KPIs. - Communicate production challenges/concerns with the broader Ops/Supply Chain leadership team. - Monitor and maintain all non-inventory equipment/supplies required for the production area (PPE, filters/screens/scales/etc). - Attend the HACCP and JHSC meetings as a representative of the production area. - Attend any required training necessary for the job. - Complete any other duties deemed required by the Operations management. Knowledge/Skills & Experience: - Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent - Must have a minimum of 5 years production experience in a food manufacturing setting - Must be able to lift up to 25kg/50lbs on a regular basis - Must be able to stand for long periods of time - Willing to work in a dusty and noisy work workplace at all times - Forklift, Reach Truck & Scissor Lift certification is required About us At Caldic we value our team spirit, built on strong relationships and open communication.
