General Manager II - Distribution (Toronto)

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an experienced General Manager II to oversee warehouse and distribution operations at their North York, Ontario facility (M3J 2W3). This senior leadership role is responsible for the full scope of warehouse operations, strategic process development, team leadership, customer relationship management, and site Profit & Loss (P&L;) accountability. Key Responsibilities - Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately - Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity - Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support while developing a strong team culture - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment - Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), automation, and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement - Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective services and supplies in accordance with the commercial agreement - Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and key metrics to drive continuous improvement - Lead customer relationships through daily contact, ensuring strong connections and customer satisfaction - Responsible for the site's Profit and Loss (P&L;), directly influenced by customer relationships - Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (MBR/QBR) to customers, leveraging robust team collaboration Required Education and Experience - 5+ years of managerial/supervisory experience, required - 2+ years of experience in a supply chain, warehousing, or distribution environment, required - Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) and/or Contract Logistics, preferred - Staff management experience, required - P&L; management experience, preferred - Project management experience, preferred - Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred - Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) experience, preferred Salary $105,000 – $125,000 nationally, with bonus potential.
