Machine Operator (Toronto)

Machine Operator Responsibilities Operate production machinery safely and efficiently between the cutting operators and mixers. Perform minor machine setups and adjustments during production changes to support new product runs. Make proper machine adjustments at the start of each new product to ensure correct settings and output quality. Conduct minor troubleshooting when machines are not running properly, escalating issues as needed. Monitor equipment performance and product quality throughout the shift and respond promptly to any issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety procedures. Stand for the entire shift while performing production and machine operation tasks. Lift up to 50 lbs as required for materials, packaging, or equipment-related tasks. Assist other departments and team members during downtime or as directed by production needs. Work in two adjacent buildings and move between them as needed, including going outside mid-shift. Follow all facility rules and guidelines related to food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with coworkers and contribute positively to a tight-knit, supportive team environment. Essential Skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as needed. At least 6 months of experience setting up a machine in a manufacturing environment. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and adjust basic machine settings. Experience in production, machine operation, or machine operating roles. Ability to stand for the entire shift while performing production tasks. Comfort working in a food manufacturing environment that handles nuts and follows GMP standards. Willingness to work in two adjacent buildings and move between them during the shift. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working under Valuable Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Prior experience in food or beverage manufacturing environments. Comfort working in a facility where granola bars with nuts are produced. Ability to work effectively in a close-knit team and build positive working relationships. Strong communication skills and a collaborative, personable approach.
