University Co‑Op Student – Distribution Planning Location: Toronto, ON, CA Salary: $2,136.59 – $3,301.53 bi‑weekly Term: 12 months, Fall 2026 Job Duties Assist the Distribution Investment Planning and Distribution Station Engineering Team. Assess and analyze distribution system asset data. Contribute to developing power system investment plans for capacity reinforcement, reliability improvement, and/or asset refurbishment. Respond to customer information requests. Assess the merit and viability of distribution investment decisions. Collaborate with other service providers and stakeholders to improve the quality and completeness of asset data. Prepare business cases and other business documents. Design and document processes and improvements. Perform other duties including interfacing with internal customers, writing reports, assisting with presentations, and tracking task status. Career development Enhance technical knowledge related to power systems planning. Improve communication skills and ability to address technical and process issues. Gain knowledge of power industry standards. Job Requirements Discipline: Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science (power system option an asset). Academic level: Completed 3rd year or higher. Skills: Good written and oral communication; knowledge of Microsoft Office; strong ability to interface and collaborate; knowledge of basic power system components; solid time‑management.
