Your Role Support process engineering activities across mineral processing, pyrometallurgy, and hydrometallurgy Assist in developing process flowsheets, block flow diagrams (BFDs), and process design criteria Perform mass and energy balances and contribute to PFD and P&ID; development Conduct basic process calculations for leaching, solution purification, metal recovery, and thermal processing Support equipment sizing and prepare technical datasheets under senior guidance Contribute to technical studies, project reports, and interdisciplinary coordination Assist with data analysis, vendor reviews, technical documentation, and occasional site activities About You Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline 0–3 years of relevant experience (co‑op, internships, or entry‑level roles considered) Ability to apply fundamental knowledge of mineral processing, hydrometallurgical, and pyrometallurgical processes Proficiency in Excel with familiarity in process simulation tools Aptitude for analytical thinking, problem solving, and working collaboratively in team‑based environments Rewards & Advantages Explore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive at every stage of your life and career at AtkinsRéalis in Canada. Additional information Expected compensation for this role is between $60,000 - $87,000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
