Join Lightmatter as a Staff Mechanical Engineer, focusing on AI-driven packaging technologies. Utilize your skills in mechanical design and Finite Element Analysis to enhance our revolutionary photonics systems. In this role, your expertise will drive the development of cutting-edge packaging solutions for advanced AI architectures. You will perform mechanical design analysis, identify failure modes, and influence design choices through parametric studies. As a key member of our Packaging Analysis team, collaboration with systems engineers will ensure that our solutions meet stringent performance standards and manufacturing constraints. Key Responsibilities: • Develop mechanical models of package stack-up • Perform design analysis for improved mechanical integrity • Execute GD&T; analysis and CAD drawings • Conduct FEA to assess design and assembly trade-offs • Collaborate to align packaging with system conditions Requirements: • BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering • Minimum 5 years of design and FEA experience • CAD proficiency, especially in Solidworks or AutoCAD • Deep knowledge of GD&T; principles • Understanding of thermal and mechanical aspects of packaging Transform AI infrastructure at Lightmatter with your engineering mastery, contributing to the next revolution in computing.
