The Role We are seeking an Intermediate Structural Engineer / Structural Designer to join our growing residential team. This role focuses on both: Structural Review & Certification Support Reviewing drawings, preparing structural layouts, calculations, revisions, and supporting final certification. Engineering Requests (ERs) / Site Support Resolving active site issues requiring practical engineering solutions. This is an excellent role for someone with residential structural experience who wants to grow quickly in a high-volume environment. Key Responsibilities Structural review of residential permit drawings Framing layouts, beam/lintel sizing, point loads, structural details Additions, custom homes, underpinning, renovations Responding to site changes and engineering requests Assist senior engineers with final review/certification Coordinate with builders, contractors, architects, and internal staff Prepare calculations and markups AutoCAD drafting where beneficial Preferred Experience Preference given to candidates with experience in: Low-rise residential wood framing Additions / custom homes Underpinning Ontario permit submissions Construction support AutoCAD drafting Qualifications Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural preferred) 2–5 years relevant experience preferred OBC Part 9 knowledge required OBC Part 4 exposure an asset P.Eng. not required EIT / pursuing license welcome Solid English communication Local candidates preferred Compensation Based on experience Benefits after probation Robust growth opportunity Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oje1m
