Server/Assistant Server (Toronto)

Our restaurant is looking for a hospitality professional with a passion for food and beverage to join our team as a fine dining server. We are looking for someone who is well-spoken, knowledgeable about food and beverage at the highest standard and has a high attention to detail. All applicants must have experience within food service, preferably international or fine dining. Duties and Responsibilities: - Serve guests at the highest level of hospitality and standards - Passion for hospitality, food and beverage - Learn and confidently recite menus and beverage lists - Including allergens - Maintain table appearance and cleanliness - Maintain restaurant appearance and cleanliness - Perform side work, opening duties, closing duties and any additional job responsibilities - Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene - Make espresso based coffee drinks and teas - Complete fluid and proper wine and beverage service - From presentation of bottle to pouring glasses - Working with Point of Sales system (Toast knowledge appreciated) Requirements and Qualifications: - 3 years of serving experience required - In fine dining or international experience - preferred - Professional appearance - Food knowledge and beverage knowledge - Wine & Beverage Certifications - preferred - Completed and active Smart Serve - High attention to detail - Knowledge of wine and beverage pairings - Well-spoken - Interest in continued education about cuisine, wine and beverages - Ability to lift 50 pounds - Able to work in a team based, high stress, quick paced environment - Experience with Point of Sales systems Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary Pay: $17.80 per hour Experience: - serving: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Smart Serve, SIR or equivalent (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2okrib
