Description
Configure, manage, and maintain Fortinet firewalls, switches, and security appliances. Support and optimize Ubiquiti wireless and routing equipment across multiple field sites. Apply Meraki knowledge where applicable for integration or support. Support, monitor, and troubleshoot LTE and WiFi radio systems, including underground/tunnel environments. Site Communications & Security Systems Maintain and troubleshoot IP camera systems, NVRs, and video infrastructure. Support access control hardware and software. Oversee UHF radio equipment for construction and safety teams. Track system performance and maintain configuration documentation. Field Operations & Physical Deployment Work safely in muddy, dusty, wet, underground, confined, or elevated environments. Conduct site visits to install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment. Carry and manage field tools and equipment (backpack ~10 kg; devices up to 15 kg). Support installation and physical deployment of networking equipment in active construction zones. Operational Continuity & Support Provide oncall support for urgent system issues (compensated). Communicate effectively with construction crews, contractors, engineering teams, and technical staff. Work independently and collaboratively to resolve issues and optimize systems. Manage multiple priorities and escalate issues appropriately. What you must have: Degree or diploma in Information Technology or related field. Preferred: CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, Fortinet NSE, or similar. Minimum 4 years of industry experience, ideally in construction, industrial, utilities, or similar field environments. Proven hands on experience with Fortinet and Ubiquiti equipment. Preferred: Experience supporting large?scale infrastructure or construction projects. Robust knowledge of CCTV, access control, LTE/Wifi radio networks, and UHF radio systems. Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Ability to work in physically demanding and challenging site conditions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in the field. Willingness to participate in oncall rotation. Preferred: Familiarity with Merak i networking equipment. Other Information: Working Conditions Standard hours: Monday Friday, 8 AM5 PM (with on call rotation). PPE required when onsite. Must be comfortable working in rugged environments (wet, muddy, dusty, underground, confined). Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 kg. Frequent travel between multiple project sites; valid G class drivers license required. Company vehicle available for site visits. Salary/Rate Range: $110,000$140,000 Plus bonus/benefits/vacation/RRSP matching Thank you for your interest in this opportunity.
