Ground Support & Helipad Host (Old Toronto)

Position Overview heliSIX (Great Lakes Helicopter) is seeking a polished, professional, and customer-centric Ground Support & Helipad Host to join our Toronto operations. This unique role blends premium guest hospitality with essential ground support coordination. As the primary face of our Toronto helipad, you will ensure that passengers experience a seamless, high-end transition from arrival to takeoff. Key Responsibilities - Premium Guest Relations: Welcome passengers upon arrival, manage the guest check-in process, verify manifests, and provide an exceptional first and last impression. - Safety & Compliance: Brief passengers on safety protocols prior to boarding and ensure strict adherence to helipad security and safety guidelines. - Ground Coordination: Assist with passenger baggage, escort guests safely to and from the aircraft, and maintain transparent communication with pilots and flight operations. - Site Management: Ensure the helipad lounge, reception area, and surrounding ground spaces are kept pristine, organized, and presentable at all times. - Operational Support: Assist with basic flight logging, scheduling updates, and coordination with local ground transportation as needed. Qualifications & Skills - Hospitality Experience: Proven experience as a host/hostess in a premium restaurant, luxury hotel, or high-end customer service environment is highly preferred. - Exceptional Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills with a poised, professional, and welcoming demeanor. - Situational Awareness: Strong attention to detail with the ability to remain calm, focused, and proactive under pressure. - Adaptability: Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and standing for extended periods. - Reliability: Dependable punctuality and flexibility to work a schedule that aligns with flight demands, including weekends and holidays. - Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to following strict operational and safety protocols.
