Job Summary We are seeking a Machine Operator – Die-Cutting & Slitting to join our label manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining die-cutting and slitting machines to ensure precise cutting, trimming, and finishing of labels according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in a printing or label manufacturing environment, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation - Set up and operate die-cutting machines. - Set up and operate slitting machines to cut label rolls and rewind for packaging. - Work from 4:00pm - Midnight Quality Assurance - Inspect labels for cutting accuracy, alignment, and quality. - Ensure compliance with customer specifications. Machine Setup & Maintenance - Adjust die-cutting pressures, blade settings, and slitter alignments. - Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Material Handling - Load/unload label stock, dies, and cutting tools. - Ensure proper tension and alignment. Production Efficiency - Minimize material waste and optimize machine speed. Safety & Documentation - Follow safety protocols and use PPE. - Maintain accurate production logs. Team Collaboration - Coordinate with production team to meet deadlines. Qualifications & Experience Experience Previous experience operating die-cutting and slitting machines in a label manufacturing or printing environment preferred. Skills - Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. - Understanding of die-cutting pressures, blade types, and material behavior. - Ability to read and interpret job tickets, measurements, and customer specifications. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training in manufacturing or printing is a plus. Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. - Good hand-eye coordination and attention to fine details. - Ability to work assigned shifts, including potential evening or weekend hours.
