We are looking for an energetic, outgoing team member to join our team PART-TIME (Monday, Tuesday and Friday) as an STUDENT OPTICIAN at Downtown Vision, in the heart of downtown Toronto! For the right candidate, there is also an prospect for your tuition in an optician's program to be paid for and covered. We provide routine eye exams, advance dry eye treatments and specialty contact lenses, along with a full-service optical with a curated mid to high end frame selection. Job Responsibilities: Selling glasses and contact lenses, including frame selection, taking measurements, frame adjustments and recommending lenses to patients Administering pre-testing before patients see the doctor Reception work, including greeting patients at check-in, answer phone calls and email inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner Checking out patients, taking payments and processing insurance claims Booking appointments, including sending patient reminders and recalls The Successful Candidate Passionate about customer experience; a excellent communicator who can provide exceptional patient care Energetic, self-motivated to work and take up new initiatives Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment English proficiency (written and spoken) Good computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suite Previous knowledge/experience (1 year in optical or medical setting) Post-secondary education (bachelor’s degree or diploma) Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour Advantages: Paid time off Store discount Vision care Ability to commute/relocate: Toronto, ON M5H 3P5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2p5jrz
