Senior Actuarial Consultant, Toronto

We are partnering with a highly regarded actuarial and consulting firm on an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join their Pension Actuarial team.

This opportunity is ideal for a relationship-driven actuarial professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and client-focused environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients while contributing to innovative retirement and pension consulting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support pension actuarial consulting engagements for a range of clients
• Prepare and review funding valuations, accounting disclosures, and actuarial calculations
• Advise clients on pension strategy, plan design, risk management, and governance matters
• Develop strong client relationships and provide ongoing strategic support
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across retirement and total rewards consulting projects
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
• Participate in business development initiatives and support continued client growth

What we are looking for

• Several years of experience within pension actuarial consulting
• Progress towards or completion of actuarial designation (ACIA / FCIA preferred)
• Strong technical pension knowledge and analytical capability
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment
• Someone who enjoys building relationships, contributing ideas, and working as part of a high-performing team
