Your New Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior Litigation Associate (1–3 years post-call) to join a busy and growing practice. You will work alongside experienced litigators and gain exposure to a broad range of files, with increasing autonomy over time.

Key areas of work include:

• Insurance-related litigation (acting for insurers of brokers and agents – non-traditional insurance defence work)
• Professional liability matters
• Civil litigation
• Select employer-side employment matters

You will play an active role in managing files, drafting materials, conducting research, and communicating directly with clients.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 1–3 years of post-call litigation experience in Ontario
• Strong research and drafting skills, with the ability to independently interpret and apply legislation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A proactive, curious mindset and a desire to build a long-term litigation practice
• Ability to conduct effective legal research both independently and with the support of technology (including AI as a secondary tool)

Preferred (not required):

• Exposure to property damage, insurance-related, or commercial litigation
• Employer-side employment law experience

Please note: Candidates with backgrounds primarily in personal injury, family, or criminal law will not be considered.
