Your New Position

As a Family Law Associate (3–5 year call), you will manage a broad range of files while working closely with senior counsel on more complex matters.

In this role, you will:

• Advise clients on core family law issues, including custody/access, support, and property division
• Draft and manage court materials, including motions, conference briefs, and affidavits
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court appearances
• Take ownership of files from intake through resolution, with increasing autonomy
• Work closely with senior lawyers on complex cases, strategy, and advocacy
• Maintain a high standard of client service in often sensitive, emotionally charged matters

With a manageable billable target of 1,250 hours, this role emphasizes quality work, client care, and sustainability over volume.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• 3–5 years of post-call experience practicing family law
• Strong drafting and advocacy skills, with experience handling files independently
• Excellent client management skills and emotional intelligence
• Confidence in court, negotiation, and dispute resolution settings
• A collaborative mindset and desire to be part of a supportive, team‐oriented environment
• High level of professionalism, organization, and attention to detail
