Pharmaceutical Bioinformatician (Toronto)

Responsibilities - Develop and maintain bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, etc.). - Process, analyze, and interpret high-throughput biological data. - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including biologists, data scientists, and IT specialists. - Integrate diverse datasets to support biomarker discovery, target identification, and drug development. - Ensure quality control, reproducibility, and documentation of analyses. - Present complex data and insights in a clear and actionable format to scientific and non-scientific stakeholders. Requirements - Master’s or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field. - Proven experience in bioinformatics within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or research setting. - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Bash. - Familiarity with public biological databases (e.g., NCBI, Ensembl) and tools (e.g., Bioconductor, Galaxy). - Strong understanding of molecular biology, statistics, and data visualization. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary team.
