Description
The ideal candidate will demonstrate verifiable mastery and ownership over the following key responsibilities: - P6 Schedule Architecture: Design, continuously update, and rigorously maintain all detailed project schedules in Primavera P6 (P6). Ensure strict compliance with established internal standards and industry protocols. - Baseline Integrity and Control: Expertly establish and diligently preserve all project baselines. Utilize these benchmarks consistently for precise performance measurement against the original plan. - Performance Monitoring & Critical Path: Proactively monitor and chart schedule progression relative to baselines. Conduct detailed analysis to pinpoint variances, delays, and the resulting consequential impacts on the critical path. - KPI Reporting and Insight Delivery: Generate and articulate executive-ready schedule performance indicators (e.g., SPI, float usage) and actionable insights for Project Management and Senior Leadership. - Collaborative Risk Forecasting: Partner closely with Project Managers to continuously evaluate project timeline health, and preemptively identify potential bottlenecks or developing problem areas before they escalate. - Leadership Communication: Produce clear, precise, and strategic periodic and recurring schedule status reports tailored for high-level review by the leadership team. - Change Governance Support: Provide timely and robust procedural support to Project Managers to ensure a cohesive and effective process is followed for managing all scope and schedule changes. - PMO Best Practice Advocacy: Serve as a resident subject matter expert. Offer structured guidance, knowledge transfer, and training on optimal scheduling standards and enterprise-level best practices within Primavera P6. What You Bring to the Table: - Education: An Engineering Technologist Diploma or related field, or a Degree in Engineering. Considerable direct experience in the role may be acceptable in lieu of formal education. - Experience & Software Mastery: 3-5 years of direct, high-level experience in a project-based setting, demonstrating expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 or an equivalent scheduling system. - Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail in managing work and presenting complex information, ensuring deadlines and standards are consistently met. - Social and Communication Proficiency: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal contacts, external partners, and senior leadership. - Project Management Acumen: The ability to learn, understand, and apply the wider principles of Project Management (Scope, Cost, Time) to your scheduling duties. - Must be eligible to meet requirements for security clearance as applicable.
