Healthcare Construction Advisor (Toronto)

Healthcare Construction Advisor (Level 3 OHP – Surgical Facility) MedPros Construction is seeking a senior advisor to support the development of a Level 3 Out-of-Hospital Premises (OHP) in the GTA. Location: GTA (Hybrid: Site & Remote) Position type: Contract/Project-Based Who This Role Is For: We’re looking for someone who has personally overseen or delivered surgical healthcare builds, and understands how to execute complex projects on-site, in real conditions. What You’ll Do: Act as Owner’s Representative/Advisor across the project lifecycle Provide practical, build-focused guidance for a Level 3 OHP Review drawings for buildability, coordination, and compliance risks Identify risks related to: – Infection control (ICRA/IPAC)– Airflow, pressurization & mechanical systems– Clean vs. dirty flow / procedural zoning Support coordination between architects, engineers, GCs, and trades Advise on phasing, sequencing, and execution strategy Help prevent rework, delays, and inspection failures Support CPSO inspection readiness and approvals Must-Have Experience: Direct involvement in delivering: – Level 3 OHP (Ontario) OR– Ambulatory surgical centres OR– Hospital OR / procedural suites Experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager Strong understanding of: – Healthcare construction workflows– ICRA/IPAC implementation– Mechanical systems for procedural environments (air changes, pressure, etc.) Experience working within Ontario healthcare regulatory frameworks Strong Assets: Experience with endoscopy or procedural suites Familiarity with CSA Z8000 / Z317 and CPSO OHP standards Background in hospital capital projects or healthcare construction leadership Compensation: Flexible structure based on experience and involvement: Competitive reimbursement with consulting fees aligned to experience level, plus milestone-based performance bonuses Pay: $100.00-$300.00 per hour Benefits: - Adaptable schedule Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pdkzt
